The AI assistant

Ask about your quotes, and change them by asking

The assistant is a conversation rather than a one-off generator. Ask what is on a quote, which ones have gone quiet, or how your win rate looks, then say what to change. Anything that would alter your data waits for your confirmation.

Free plan available. No credit card required.

The QuoteGlide assistant is the conversation the rest of the product runs through. It is not a box you fill in and press a button on. You ask in your own words, read what comes back, and ask the next thing, and the thread stays, so the fourth question can depend on the answer to the second.

On the dashboard the conversation IS the screen, with the composer along the bottom. Everywhere else it is a panel behind Assistant in the top bar. Both read the same thread, so a question asked while you were looking at a quote carries on when you go back to the dashboard.

It works in one workspace: yours. Every answer comes from the quotes, customers, services and settings in your own account.

What you can ask it

Two kinds of thing, in the same thread: questions about what you already have, and changes you want made to it.

  • What is on a quote, by the number printed on it, so “what is on quote 0051” is enough.
  • A customer's history with you, and which of their quotes is still open.
  • Which quotes have gone quiet, and what is waiting on you today.
  • How your win rate looks lately, counted from your own accepted and declined quotes.
  • Draft a quote, add a customer, correct a customer's details, or save a new service.
  • Change a draft you are looking at: a different quantity, a corrected price, a line taken off.

How a conversation goes

Six steps, and the fourth is the one that matters: the assistant proposes, and you decide.

  1. You ask in your own words

Type it, or tap the microphone and say it. There is no syntax to learn and no form to fill in first.

  2. It looks in your workspace

It reads your own quotes, customers, services and settings to answer. Where a name could mean more than one customer, it asks which one you meant instead of picking.

  3. It answers, and you keep going

The reply lands in the thread and you ask the next thing. A follow-up carries on from what was just said rather than starting again.

  4. Anything that would change your data becomes a card

A new customer, a saved service, a new draft quote or an edit to one arrives as a confirmation card spelling out, line by line, exactly what it is about to do.

  5. You confirm it, or you dismiss it

Nothing is written until you tap Confirm. Dismiss changes nothing at all. A card you did confirm links straight through to whatever it created.

  6. The conversation is kept

Threads are saved in your chat history, so you can reopen the one where a quote was drafted and read what was actually asked for.

A worked example

A draft that needed two corrections, made by asking rather than by opening the editor.

How it starts
Edit quote 0051.

How the exchange goes

You ask to edit quote 0051
Asked
The assistant reads it back: a draft for Loui Tencio, TV wall mount and installation, labour at $150 and a wall mount at $90
$240
You say the labour should be $200, and to add a second bracket at $40
Asked
A confirmation card spells the change out: labour 1 at $200, add a bracket 1 at $40
Waiting
You tap Confirm and the draft is updated in place
Applied
The draft now reads labour, wall mount and bracket, still unsent
$330

Both new figures are the two that were stated in the conversation. Nothing was written until the card was confirmed, the quote is still a draft, and the whole exchange stays in the thread for you to read back.

What it will not do

QuoteGlide does not guess what a job should cost. It uses the rates, services and prices supplied by the business and asks for confirmation when information is missing or uncertain.

It does not act on its own. Nothing is created, changed or sent because the assistant decided to: every write is a card you confirm, and sending a quote to a customer is a separate step you take yourself. It reads only your own workspace, and it asks which customer you meant rather than choosing one for you.

What it costs to use

Each message to the assistant costs one AI credit from your monthly allowance. Every plan includes credits, the free one included, and your usage is visible under Settings, Plan and billing.

AI can also be switched off for a whole workspace in settings, in which case the assistant is not offered at all.

The support assistant is a different thing

The assistant described here works inside your own data. The one on the Support page answers questions about how QuoteGlide itself works, grounded in the documentation, and it does not spend your AI credits. If it cannot answer, it opens a ticket to a person.

Questions people ask

Short, factual answers about what this does and where it stops.

Can I talk to the QuoteGlide AI?
Yes. The assistant is a conversation, not a one-off generator. You ask in your own words, it answers, and you can keep going in the same thread. If a draft is not quite right you say what to change and it prepares the change, rather than you editing the fields by hand or starting again. It also answers questions about your own workspace: what is on a quote, a customer's history with you, which quotes have gone quiet. Anything that would change your data is shown as a confirmation card first, and nothing is saved until you tap it.
Can the assistant change a quote it has already drafted?
Yes. Say what to change and it prepares that change to the draft you are looking at, rather than starting a second quote for the same job. The change arrives as a confirmation card listing each line it will alter, and it is applied when you confirm it.
Does the assistant do anything without asking me?
No. Everything that would create or change a record arrives as a confirmation card first, and nothing is written until you tap Confirm. Sending a quote to a customer is always a separate step that you take.
What can the assistant see?
Your own workspace: your quotes, customers, services, settings and the figures worked out from them. It has no view of any other business's data.
Does QuoteGlide invent or calculate prices?
No. QuoteGlide does not guess what a job should cost. It uses the rates, services and prices supplied by the business and asks for confirmation when information is missing or uncertain.
What does the assistant cost to use?
One AI credit per message, from the monthly allowance included with every plan. There is a free plan covering 3 sent quotes a month, with no card required. Paid plans are Pro at $24 per month and Business at $69 per month, for more quotes, more AI drafting credits and full branding. Every paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial.
